Quavo, former Migos member, has announced that he will dedicate his upcoming album, titled “Rocket Power,” to his late nephew. The album is set to express Quavo’s emotions and be a vulnerable tribute to Takeoff, who was shot and killed in November 2022.
In a recent tweet, Quavo revealed that he will be pouring all his emotions into his music and will not be doing any interviews. The name “Rocket Power” is a spin-off of Takeoff’s only solo album, “The Last Rocket,” which was released in 2018 and featured collaborations with artists like Quavo, Lil Baby, and his cousin and fellow Migos member, Offset.

It is not yet known when the album will be released or what other songs it will feature, but Quavo is dedicated to keeping Takeoff’s memory alive through his music. In addition to the album, Quavo recently released a song titled “Without You,” which pays tribute to Takeoff and expresses Quavo’s deep feelings of loss.

Quavo and other members of Migos have also found other ways to pay tribute to Takeoff. In a recent video on Twitter, Quavo shouted out “Takeoff” and cheered on the Georgia Bulldogs football team, who won the College Football Playoff national championship. Offset also paid tribute to Takeoff during a performance, displaying large posters and pictures of him on stage while the Jackson 5 song “Never Can Say Goodbye” played in the background.
As the music industry mourns Takeoff’s untimely passing, it is clear that his legacy will continue to live on through his music and the memories he left behind.
